  • Fellowship Breakfasts: Tuesday (14th) at 7 am at the Albert’s Restaurant in Capilano Mall. All are welcome to join us!

  • Urgently needed: a person(s) to commit to cleaning the walks every time it snows so we don't get any more warning notices from the City or end up having to pay them to do it for us.
  • Pastor Werner will be away Jan. 17-21 visiting with his parents in Ontario, as his mother is ailing.
  • Tim Wiebe-Neufeld, Executive Minister of Mennonite Church Alberta (MCA), will lead the adult Sunday School class on January 19, on the subject of MCA's new 3-year vision plan called "Encountering, Embracing, and Embodying Christ." Tim will also preach on that Sunday.
  • Please note that there is a pamphlet from Vision 20/20 in your mailbox entitled “Where do we go from here?” Please prayerfully read through and join us as we endeavor to follow the Spirit’s leading together.

  • Pray for Ray Brubaker and family as Ginny has passed away.
  • Please pray for Betty as she waits for the final stages of chemotherapy.
  • Please pray for Antoinette and family as they grieve the loss of her uncle.
  • Please pray for Hajah Masri.
  • Please pray for Peter’s brother.
  • Pray for the numbness in Helena’s hand to be healed.
  • Praise that Jean-Felix and Charlotte are now permanent residents. Please pray for them as they continue in the process to bring their 26 family members, who are all refugees,to Canada.
  • Please continue to remember and pray for our members who are no longer able to regularly attend church: Ray Brubaker, George Varghese.

  • Coffee and Conversation this Tuesday at 10:00 at Lendrum Mennonite Church - ? John Woollard will be speaking about his trek last April with MCC, US, “Resilience: Nepal Learning Tour” which took him to communities still dealing with the effects of the 2015 earthquake. All are welcome!
  • Hymn Sing: Join the Mennonite and Catholic communities for an evening of singing together on January 31 at 7:00 pm at Lendrum Mennonite Church (11210-59 Ave NW). We will be exploring the history of our music by singing songs from the various eras. Everyone is welcome to join us for this time of singing and refreshments.
  • 3rd Annual Trivia Night! Camp Valaqua's third annual trivia night is happening this February 8th at 6:30. Both Calgary (Foothills Mennonite Church) and Edmonton (First Mennonite) will be hosting again this year. Everyone is welcome! The cost will be $20 at the door and donations will be taken.   • The Great Winter Warm-Up - One day. Multiple locations. Thousands of stitches of hope and warmth. On January 18, help us touch the lives of people in need while celebrating MCC’s 100th anniversary. We are hoping to collect 6,500 comforters to deliver to people affected by conflict and disaster around the world.
